Infinera

The Cloud Xpress Family includes multiple models designed to meet the varying needs of cloud service providers ,  internet  content  providers ,      internet exchange service providers, enterprises and other large-scale data center operators. The first generation of the Cloud Xpress includes four models supporting varying configurations of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), 40 GbE and 100 GbE Ethernet ports for client-side connectivity, and a 500 gigabit per second (Gb/s) wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) super-channel output, all in just two rack units (2RU). The second generation, the Cloud Xpress 2, based on the Infinite Capacity Engine, is designed for scalable 100 GbE DCI over a 1.2 terabit per second (Tb/s) super-channel output in just 1RU.

The Cloud Xpress Family features built-in optical amplification that enables reach of 130 to 150 kilometers (km) without external amplifiers. Combining this extended reach with super-channel line output, the Cloud Xpress Family delivers a combination of plug-and-play reach and capacity that is superior to alternative solutions, simplifying network deployment, configuration and ongoing management while increasing reliability.

Smart Optics

DCP-M is exactly like using a passive multiplexer, but unlike a passive multiplexer it monitors the traffic, amplifies the signals for longer distances and can handle higher data rate protocols. This is because it has all the features usually reserved for the more complex DWDM platforms fully integrated in to a simple plug and play 1U module. No separate amplifier, management, dispersion compensation and traffic cards to configure. No messy wiring between modules. No additional knowledge or spares handling usually associated with the bigger systems. Instead, DCP-M provides everything required for an open line networking system.

DCP-M

  • Direct detect (eg PAM4) and/or coherent DWDM transceivers and/or transponders
  • No complex setup and minimal optical fiber knowledge required
  • Intelligence and amplification in a 40 or 80 channel DWDM multiplexer
  • Completely automatic optical setup, just like using a passive multiplexer
  • Automatic fiber distance measurement and dispersion compensation setting
  • Simple and cost effective datacom not telecom platform
  • Modern management architecture based on REST and CLI APIs
  • Easily integrated into any network telemetry systems

Net2Edge

The Liberator 305-LTE is a fully functional MEF CE2.0 compliant 1Gbps NID, which supports Carrier Ethernet over both a fibre and a 4G/LTE radio.

The Liberator 305-LTE is most commonly deployed in 2 scenarios:
1.Where Carrier Ethernet Service is required but deployment of fibre is delayed
2.To provide a back-up communication path in the event of a failure in the fibre connection.

Like all of the Carrier Ethernet NIDs in the Net2Edge portfolio, the Liberator 305-LTE supports Zero Touch Provisioning as well as the expected features in CE2.0 such as:

  • Hierarchical QoSIETF RFC-2544 / ITU-T Y.1564
  • Hardware OAM
  • ITU-T G.8032v2 rings
  • IEEE-1588v2, (PTP)
